What We Do

Kidicorp - New Build Child Care Centre

The creation of a new Kidicorp Child Care Centre included the demolition of the existing dwellings and construction of a 505m2 single storey building with additional covered and outdoor play areas.
The development is within a residential zone and resource consent requirements included comprehensive acoustic fencing, planting and car parking for 22 cars.

The client’s brief was the building had to be operational for the new school year – irrespective of initial building consent delays; this included the client’s fit out and final sign off from both the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.

Being in the midst of a residential zone working hours were restricted limiting the options to accelerate. Brosnan committed to working through the Christmas break in an effort to keep the project moving and to bring the project to a timely conclusion.

Problem-solving in advance was a fundamental aspect to the successful timing of the handover. Our team undertook an extensive review of the construction details in advance to keep ahead of the construction sequence. By foreseeing and resolving issues in advance momentum was maintained and down-time was keep to the absolute minimum.

The centre was opened as originally intended with full compliance.
