What We Do

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Waitaha

Brosnan Construction was awarded this remediation project involving the removal of all cladding, treatment of the existing timber and replacement as required, insulation upgrades and cladding replacement, interior upgrades of the fire protection system and architectural finishes, drainage replacement and paved surface treatments.

Delivery of the completed project on time was critical to the ongoing Ministry of Education development programme.  The School also needed to vacate their temporary school facilities to allow another school access, meaning we could not miss the deadline date.

Further challenges involved planning around the delivery of consent exemption approvals, revised detailing taking into account the existing conditions and construction issue drawings so the site team could proceed with certainty. This placed additional emphasis on regular communication with all stakeholders so that critical decisions were made in a timely manner.

The site team delivered an outstanding result under difficult circumstances.

Brosnan Construction have worked on numerous projects resulting from the damage caused by the Christchurch earthquakes, however, this one was a bit special.
