144 - 146 Lichfield Street

This major repair and strengthening project involved retaining the facade of an historic, early 1900’s commercial building, whilst at the same time, completely restructuring the interior layout and design and bringing the entire building up to current Code of Compliance.

The scope also included the creation of an entirely new roof and the addition of a steel atrium to the rear, the installation of new fire and alarm technology, plus full interior fit-out.

The finished building is set to become an important landmark in the Government’s Innovation Precinct area of Christchurch and will incorporate two vibrant restaurants, an exclusive bar and a large first floor office space.
