The ever-growing population of New Zealand means that our educational facilities are under constant review as the student roll also continues to grow. Add to that the requirement to cater for students with special needs and you have a project brief which is far from straightforward, including three additional classrooms and a special needs satellite unit, with related ancillary spaces.
Oak Shores is an apartment remediation project. The scope of works includes remediation of the external cladding, structural elements, balconies, balustrades, externals walls, window joinery, roofs, courtyard, basement walls and addressing passive fire non-compliant works. The ECI team has consisted of key Auckland based managers and the Queenstown delivery team to ensure the client receives the full breadth of Brosnan’s knowledge and capability.
Brosnan Construction have worked on numerous projects resulting from the damage caused by the Christchurch earthquakes, however, this one was a bit special. Involving an historic building dating back to the early 1900’s, it was one of few commercial buildings on Lichfield Street to still be repairable.
The construction of a 4-bedroom cottage to 6-star standards was both a privilege and a challenge. No effort was spared to ensure the finished product lived up to the high standards expected of Matakauri Lodge and its sister properties of Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs...
