What We Do

Woodend School

Brosnan Construction were awarded the contract to construct an 800 square metres 2 storey redevelopment in the growing North Canterbury township of Woodend. Challenging ground conditions required remediation in the form of stone piling before commencement of the steel frame construction with a combination of precast concrete panel and timber frame infill.

The scope for Woodend School included a new two storey eight classroom block.

In addition to this, there are some minor weather-tightness repairs for the three remaining buildings.
At the completion of the project, the demolition of a two classroom cebus unit will be completed.

Challenging ground conditions required remediation in the form of stone piling before commencement of the steel frame construction with a combination of precast concrete panel and timber frame infill.

During the course of the build, numerous design issues were encountered which involved close coordination and communication with the design team to ensure the issues were dealt with in a timely manner. The Brosnan project team initiated the facilitation of additional design meetings between various members of the design team and the relevant specialist sub-contractor to iron out design issues and help mitigate against delays to the construction programme.
