What We Do

Ahuriri Valley Lodge

Brosnan are currently constructing this highly complex and detailed project in a remote McKenzie Country valley. We were awarded this project after a thorough registration and tendering process that focused on quality, programme, methodology, cost and trust. Our success was attributed to the in-depth planning processes, supply chain coverage, innovative construction sequencing and construction methodology.

Designed by Wellington based Architects, Architecture Workshop Ltd, the best visual aspects have been maximised with very innovative and unusual aesthetic, structural and engineering ideas. The Lodge is designed to be environmentally friendly whilst affording maximum luxury and ambience.

We are currently on budget and programme, even while working in a remote, weather effected area of New Zealand.

Our approach was to use our highly accurate survey equipment while working closely with the design team. This equipment has been used to transfer the 3D model information from the computer model to the building site, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the structural frame installation that forms the template of the geometric shape. Only by having this ability to regularly, accurately and easily communicate and transfer the design model, or the as-built form, between the design office and the site will the risks around the geometric complexity and remote nature of this project be correctly controlled.

The ‘leaky home’ issues in New Zealand construction have caused numerous problems for both homeowners and the industry alike. This project typified that situation, with a set of anxious, largely elderly, owners and an initial contractor that went into liquidation during phase one of the project. It was against this backdrop that Brosnan Construction were engaged to complete the contract.

Anzac Avenue Apartment Conversion

The project involved the conversion, upgrade and refurbishment of an existing c.1920 six storey building into 30 quality apartments.
